About The Club
The East Hartford Men's Golf Club was started in 1961 with Tournaments and events held at the East Hartford Golf Club on Long Hill Road. We are a member club of the Connecticut State Golf Association (CSGA) and all members have CSGA official handicaps and GHIN numbers.
The club is governed by the Executive Board which includes five Club Officers, the six member Executive Committee, and (four) special committees, Tournament, Handicap, Monday Night. With the exception of the Executive Committee which has a three year term, all other positions of the Executive Board are elected each fall.
Tournaments
Each Sunday from April through October, the EHMGC has a one day tournament with the exception of Sunday holidays such as Easter and Mother's Day. On these weekends, the tournament is held on Saturday. Tournament formats include individual, two man best ball, and specialty events. Participation in weekend tournaments is open to all members in good standing. Sign-up sheets are posted seven days before the event. You may sign-up in the pro-shop or call the pro-shop at 860-616-6649. Starting times, early or late, are available on a first come basis.
If you sign up for a tournament you are responsible for the $8.00 entry fee if you do not cancel or make your starting time.

High-lights for the year include:
- Member/Member-Member Guest Shotgun with Dinner-July
- Club Championship, Medal Play-Three Rounds all flights in August
- Year-End Fall Classic Shotgun & Year-End Awards Presentations-September
Tournament Fees and Prizes
In addition to greens fees, entry fee for weekend tournaments is $8.00 per player. The Prize List for the Gross and Net winners are based on the number of players in each Flight.
The Handicap Flights are:
Championship 0-6
"A" Flight 7-10
"B" Flight 11-14
"C" Flight 15-19
"D" Flight 20 and up
Our weekend Men’s Club Tournament scores for each player are captured and automatically fed to Golf Genius and to GHIN.com. All Members should turn in signed and attested Men's Club Tournament score cards to the Pro Shop. The results will be posted on our Web Site ehmensgolfclub.com. The Posting of the weekly Tournament Results will initiate an email to all Members including a Link that will take you to the results of that weekends Tournament. Incomplete or incorrect scorecards may result in disqualification.
For Handicap Integrity, all Members have the responsibility to record all Non-Men's Club 18 or 9 hole scores into GHIN.com by using the Pro Shop Computer or any other desktop, laptop or on-line Mobile Device. Make sure to use the Course Rating and Slope that corresponds with the Tees you played from.
